THE WASTE ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT REGULATIONS 2006

WEEE

Gordian Strapping Limited recognises its position as a business to business supplier of electrical and electronic equipment. The range of equipment we supply which is covered by the WEEE Regulations is strapping and stretch wrapping machines (those which are free-standing and technically mobile), electrical and battery powered hand strapping tools, batteries and battery charging units.

Pallet strapping and hooding machines and stretch wrapping machines which are integral parts of automated packaging lines are considered as large-scale stationary industrial tools which are not covered by the WEEE Regulations.

Gordian Strapping Limited has joined a Producer Compliance Scheme and complies with all reporting requirements under the Regulations. Our Producer Number is:

WEE/KC0046SY

Take-back Scheme

When electrical or electronic equipment supplied by us has reached the end of its useful life, we will arrange collection of the item and disposal through an Approved Authorised Treatment Facility (AATF) or an Approved Exporter (AE).

There will not be any charge to our customers for the disposal of the items but we shall charge for the transportation of the item from the customer's premises either directly to the AATF or back to our own premises for onward delivery to the AATF site. The cost of collection will be quoted at the time of collection and will depend on the current commercial vehicle operating costs. If collection of WEEE can be co-ordinated with the delivery of new, replacement equipment being supplied by us, the collection charge may be waived.
